All theother parts of the body were healthy, excepting the bladder, which was considerably inflamed and exceedingly extended bythe long continued retention of the urine. In a case similar to this, it will be necessary to make use ofprecautions to prevent inflammation, by cupping or by should be applied; and if the fever still continue, aseton should be made, or issues be opened, to prevent thecontinuance of inflammation, by producing and supporting ex-ternal irritation.
