A cairn on the island of Great Bernera in the Outer Hebrides commemorating the Bernera Riot of 1874 which lead to land reform.
This cairn near Ben Breaclete on the island of Great Bernera was erected in 1992 to commemorate the Bernera Riot of 1874. This led eventually to the passing of the Crofters Act giving security of tenure to crofters. The cairn incorporates stones from every croft in Great Bernera and Tir Mor with the coping stones taken from the houses of the three men who stood trial following the riot.
