The Stratton Base Honor Guard posts the colors during Maj. Gen. Verle Johnston's retirement ceremony at Joint Forces Headquarters in Latham, New York, on June 12, 2015. He officially retires at the end of the month after more than four decades of military servcie. Johnston served as commander of the 5,900-member New York Air National Guard since 2012.
