Wood mouse (Apodemus sylvaticus). This small rodent is common throughout Europe and is also known as Long-tailed field mouse. If a wood mouse is caught by the tail, it can quickly shed the end of it in order to escape. However, the tail may never grow again. Photographed in Kent, UK.
