Trail-ers are extensively used,and at the beginning of1904 the company owned700 cars of this type. The maximum speed allowed is 15 km (9J/2miles) in the center of the city, 18 km (11^2 miles) in the lesscrowded sections, and 30 km (19 miles) outside the city car is provided with two plows, so that contact can be madeon either side with the underground conduit, in addition to the bow. The plow itself has a wooden frame, reinforced with metal.
