Fawcett Park Consett
A public artwork in Fawcett Park Consett commemorating the steel works which stood on this site. The steelworks closed in 1980 the buildings and slag heap on the 700-acre site cleared to make way for a mix of residential, commercial and recreational land, The transformation of the area has been under an operation called Project Genesis which has facilitated over 150 million pounds worth of development.
