Dinghy Sailing in Salcombe Harbour Devon

the East Portlemouth side ( East Side ) of the sheltered Salcombe harbour has sandy coves and are ideal family beaches with the soft white sand. Salcombe beach has white fine sand and coves inside the protected harbour with turquoise water and is an attractive place for families with small children. Sailing in the harbour offers sheltered waters in the large harbour with a variety of inlets and has estuary sailing. The Devon Yawl (see foreground dinghy ) was designed specifically for these conditions in mind and is a One Class boat design.
