Ruben Velasco, attached to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). The three Marines lost their lives when an MV-22B Osprey, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Reinforced), 31st MEU, experienced a mishap on Aug. 5.
