J W. 77 fathoms, apex of 4 whorls, no protoconch; off Glendower Beacon (Port Alfred), 100 fathoms, apex of 7 whorls, no protoconch (S. Afr. Mus. Nos. A9139 Type, A9140, A9141. coll.). Remarks. Differing in detail from sansibarica Thiele 1925 and amanda Thiele 1925, both from the east coast of Africa, but very close to the latter. It has more numerous axial ribs than zmitampis Melvill & Standen 1901, from Gulf of Oman, and the spiral sculpture is different (judging by the figure). Appears to have some resemblance to Mathildona euglypta Iredale (1929, p. 186) from New South Wales.
