As we walk round weshall see specimens, in cases, from Borneo, Burmah, China;now a table containing fragments from the old Abbey, andclose by a case containing documents relating to missionarywork ; it contains, besides others, a note book of BishopPatteson, and some original letters from Bishop Selwynand others; also a chalice and paten from Rorkes case contains relics of Bishop Mackenzie, the firstMissionary Bishop to Central Africa, who died of fever onthe Shire river. At the end of the room is a good portrait,by Richmond, of the late Rev. Edward Coleridge ; on theeast side we see some work of the North American Indiansand the natives of British Guiana, and, close by, a beautifulspecimen of a feathered cloak from the Sandwich 2. MISSIONARY COLLEGE. 23 There is a collection from New Zealand, with some goodspecimens of native carving done with sharp stones;some good beadwork from Africa, and on the wall, somebeautiful horns, shields and war clubs, and two cases ofbirds, one from Africa, the other from British Guiana; thelarge case close by contains Indian work. We pass on to THE before reaching it, I would call your attention to amost interesting view of pre-Reformation work ; it includesthe Gateway, the Manciples Apartment, the Bell HarryTower of the Cathedral and the College Hall. The Library is a noble hall, measuring 80 feet long,by 45 feet wide, and is lofty in proportion ; the tracery ofthe windows has been copied from the hall of the Archi-episcopal Palace, at Mayfield, in Sussex. It is divided intocompartments, and we shall find on the walls some inter-esting old prints, which will take us back nearly 200 yearsin the history of
