Alexander Dubcek was briefly the leader of Czechoslovakia (1968-1969), famous for his attempt to reform the Communist regime known as the Prague Spring. Exhibition 1968… and tanks arrived in the National Museum was dedicated to 40th anniversary of the end of Prague Spring communist reform movement in 1968 in former Czechoslovakia, which was stopped by the invasion of five Warsaw Pact armies from the Soviet Union, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary and East Germany on August 21, 1968.
