During UFG 16, 3D CAG Marines served both on Okinawa and the peninsula. Exercise UFG 16 is a United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command, and United States Forces Korea annual joint/combined command post exercise. The exercise highlights the longstanding and enduring partnership and friendship between the United States and South Korea, and the nations’ combined commitment to the defense of the ROK and continued peace and security in the region. Exercise UFG 16 continues until September 2, and features approximately 25,000 service members, along with service members from nine other nations: Australia, Canada, Columbia, Denmark, France, Italy, Philippines, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
