Jacob Roderick, for 47 years a conductoron the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, who hasbeen running between Harrisonburg and Lexing-ton, will be placed on the retired list, beginningwith August 1. After serving four years as a Confederate soldier Roderick went with theBaltimore and Ohio just after the war, andnever has a passenger been killed on any trainunder his charge, though he has been in in-numerable wrecks and smashups. He is 75years old. He will be succeeded by LewisD. Barley, who runs between Strasburg andBrunswick, ENGINEER L. W. COLVIN, OF HARRISON-BURG, VA., WHO ENTERED THESERVICE IN 1868 AND WASPENSIONED IN 1910 Conductor L. D. Barley has been assignedto the passenger rim on Valley Railroad Dist rictvacated by Conductor J.
