At this station the Union & CentralPacific Railroad Co. have a union depot,large freight houses, round houses,machine and repair shops, and employa large numiier of men. It is a regulareating station, and a good restaurant iskept in the tine buildinif erected by tliecompany. At present—May Ist, 1873—it is thejunction of the Union & Central PacificRoads, but the leiral junction is about 6miles further west, aa we shall explainhereafter. OGDEN CITY. The business part of tbe town ia three-fourths of a mile from the depot; theUtali Central about a quarter of a milenearer tliecenterof the city. The lattercars, however, back down to tbe Uniondepot for paasengern, thus connectingthe three roads at one and the samestation, taking passengers from the samedepot. Tbe city is at the mouth of Ogden can-von, one of the gorges which pierce theWahsatch range and between the Weberand Ogden rivers. It has a populationof about 3,500. The Ogden House is.
