Its chief value is on account of its dazzling display of white flowers in early spring. Thrives in any soil. Each, $ Porsythia. (Golden Bell). One of the showiest early flowering shrubs with brilliant yellow flowers borne in profusion along the slender branches before the leaves appear. Grows 8 to 10 feet tall in good soil; hardy; excellent for planting in borders. Portunei. A spreading bush with upright branches and dark shiny foliage.
