A magnificent rhinoceros horn, East Africa, 19th century Unusually sturdy, very evenly grown horn of a stately black rhinoceros (diceros bicornis). Slightly polished, at the base rough surface left in its natural state with intact underside. Length along the exterior curve 83 cm, weight 4,600 g. CITES certificates available. Rhinoceros horns of this size have become extremely rare. Due to the omnipresent poaching and the limitation of the biospheres in the African savannah, wild living rhinoceroses rarely develop such stately horns today.
