The completed survey will afford forthe first time a basis for accurately evaluatingand listing all the agencies in this field. TAKE the Cambridge calendar, or take the Oxford calendar for twohundred years; look at the church, the parliament, or the bar, and ithas always been the case that the men who were first in the competitionof the schools have been first in the competition of life.—Macaulay.
