The Durham Heritage Coast walk is an 11 mile route from Seaham in the north to Crimdon in the south, leading through clifftop scenery with links to former mining villages along the way. At the start of the walk there are great views over Blast beach at Dawdon, used in the opening scene of Alien 3. This stretch of coastline also featured in the Michael Caine film, Get Carte
