Porth Wen abandoned brickworks drying kiln
Porth Wen abandoned and derelict brickworks on the north of the Isle of Angelsey. Th factory specialized in the manufacture of heat resistant fire bricks. During the latter part of the industrial revolution of the Victorian era, millions of bricks were manufactured here and then shipped to local ports, Liverpool for onward transportation to America, Africa, India, Australia. The factory closed in 1930.
