General Casey has been awarded by Hervé Morin, Defense Minister, Commander of the French Legion of Honor, which is the highest French order created by Napoleon 1er. The ceremony took place January 30th at the French Embassador Residence. Two WWII American veterans have been awarded Knights of the French Legion of Honor.
