St Maelrhys Church and graveyard , Llanfaelrhys, Aberdaron, Gwynedd, Llyn Peninsula, Wales, UK on a cloudy summer day

St Maelrhys’ Church is a single chamber church. It measures about 14 metres long by about 4 metres wide. Much of the nave is medieval, with the chancel added later. The west end was rebuilt with the entrance in modern times, when a door in the south wall was blocked up. There was also a door in the north wall which is also blocked up. Inside, the pews are very interesting. On the North Side are plain hard wooden benches and on the South Side are wooden box pews. These date back to the mid-nineteenth century. There is a font that dates back to the fifteenth century. There is a bell-cote which is modern.
