Countess of Pembroke. Pure, delicate rosy laven- der. The flowers are of medium size and perfect form, produced on good stems with foliage ; an extremely profuse bloomer. Should be in every collection. Celestine. Yellow, suffused with orange. Dr. Whitesides. Very large, of fine form ; a beau- tiful tint of white that is very effective. Dr. Masters. Orange- buff, edged and flamed scarlet. Formosissima picta. Deep scar et, sometimes striped yellow, when it is striking. Not recom- mended. Grand Duke Alexis. A magnificent flower of larg- est size and distinctly unique form, as the petals are rolled uu so that the edges overlap each other.
