Gale force winds and a high spring tide again brought huge waves on to the promenade at Aberystwyth on the west Wales coast. Much of the promenade is littered with debris and covered in sand following the storm weather of the previous night, when Police and coastguards had closed off the seafront to all users as a safety precaution.
