Kharchung, Nepal - 19 Apr 24: Rebuilt Dupkhang Gumba monastery, next to Milarepa's meditation cave, during the week of its consecration & inauguration

Located beside Takphuk senge Dzong (Tiger Cave Lion Fortress), where Milarepa is said to have spent 3 years in meditation, Dupkhang Gumba is one of the oldest monasteries in Helambu. It was destroyed during Nepal's 2015 earthquake. The rebuilt temple was inaugurated and consecrated in April 2024.
