Cycle route signage, on the A9, near Dalwhinnie, Scottish Highlands

The cycleway at Dalwhinnie runs parallel to the A9 trunk road between Perth and Inverness, and traverses one of the highest routes in Britain, at aprox 1600' above sea level. This is a very dangerous route in Winter, frequently blocked by snow, and subject to very quick changes in weather. It is part of the route from Lands End, to John O' Groates
