Five days of wild fires that have destroyed thousands of hectares of land on the Cape Peninsula south of Table Mountain. The fires stretched across the mountain from Muizenburg in the east over to Hout Bay and Fishhoek in the west. Strong winds have been hampering efforts to contain the fires.
