The Byham Theater, located in the Cultural District, opened originally in 1903 as The Gayety Theater. The once vaudeville house was renovated and reopened as The Byham Theater in 1990. During the 1930s, the theater was converted to a full-time movie venue and was renamed The Fulton. In 2010 it was the site of a 50th anniversary viewing of the Bill Mazeroski's winning home run in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series.
