vs. Julius & Ethel Rosenberg and Martin Sobell, Government Exhibit 32, Photograph of the studio of photographer Ben Schneider; Scope and content: On the next to last day of the trial Irving Saypol called photographer Ben Schneider as a rebuttal witness. Schneider's studio, pictured in Exhibit 32, was located at 99 Park Row, close to the Foley Square courthouse. He testified that on a Saturday in mid-June 1950 Julius and Ethel Rosenberg had passport photographs taken. The prosecution used this last minute testimony to suggest the Rosenbergs were prepared to flee to a foreign country.
