Trianae is nearly over and C. SchrcedersB is not a good seller. Gardenias drag; so does valley. Asparagus sells tolerably well. dub Banquet. At the annual club banquet, held this year at the New American House instead of Horticultural hall, there was an attendance of nearly 300. The change of venue pleased some, but the majority would have preferred the more commodious and homelike quarters at 300 Massachusetts avenue. Neverthe- less, the occasion was an enjoyable one. The tables were well decorated, as usual, and the menu was a most excel- lent one. Following the banquet proper a fine entertainment was furnished by the following artists: Miss Margaret Wither, soprano' soloist; James Singer, baritone soloist; Emil Chevriel, comedy violin imitations; Miss Katherine Singer, pianist. Following the entertainment Presi- dent Bartech welcomed everyone in be- half of the Gardeners' and Florists' Club and introduced the speakers of the evening. Patrick "Welch responded for the S. A. F. He spoke of the work the society is doing, referred to the recent executive committee meeting in Chicago and hoped for a good Boston representation at San Francisco in August. S. J. Goddard and Peter Fisher briefly responded for the Carnation So- ciety. Other speakers included Vice- President Ja
