The border between Estonia and Latvia (at Valga/Valka) shot from the Estonian side, abolished in 2007 as both countries are now in the Schengen town straddles the border and is called Valka on the Latvian side. The town has the slogan "One town, two countries". The border was originally marked in 1920.
