The designing courses offered by theNew Bedford Textile School are open to all women and thesame advantage extended as in the case of 69 GENERAL INFORMATION. CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION TO DAY CLASSES. Candidates for admission to the regular day coursesmust be at least sixteen years of age. Those who havebeen students of other technical institutions, colleges, oruniversities are required to furnish a certificate of hon-orable dismissal from those institutions. Candidates hav-ing a graduates certificate from a high school or othereducational institution of equal standing are admittedwithout examination. Other applicants for admission tothese courses are required to undergo examinations inarithmetic, English and commercial geography. Candidates for admission to the elementary coursesdesignated on page 18 of this catalogue as tivo-year andfour-year classes must be at least fourteen years old. Ifsuch candidates are graduates of a grammar school, theywill be admitted without examination; otherwise they willbe required to undergo examinations in arithmetic, Eng-lish and geography.
