In Can-ton we began with less than a dozen converts,housed in a small shop, and out of that work hasgrown the largest Protestant church building inthe city, with a congregation of nearly two hun-dred members. We left Canton in May last year,just before the outbreak occurred. The Boxermovement did not extend south, but thieves tookadvantage of the general disturbance to loot ourchapels and the homes of the Christians.
