Woodlouse


This woodlouse (Philoscia muscorum), sometimes known as the common striped or fast woodlouse, is a common species widespread across the UK and Europe, it is also found in certain of US states and Canada. This species grows to around 11mm with a distinctive dark dorsal stripe and runs quickly when disturbed. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in January.
