This very promising cherry, of the largest size and bright rich color, is deserving of all that has been said of it by the introducer. The surface is smooth, glossy and is covered with min- ute russet dots; flesh reddish with whit- ish veins, very firm and of unsurpassed quality. Stands well in the lead as a ship- ping variety. Ripens ten days later than the Royal Ann. Lewelling. (Bfack Republican.) (Black Oregon.) Seedling raised by Seth Lewell- ing of Oregon; large size, black, sweet, with purplish flesh; late and a good shipper. Napoleon Bigarreau. (Royal Ann.) A magnificent cherry of the largest size, pale yellow, becoming amber in the shade, richly dotted and spotted with deep red, and with a bright red cheek; flesh very firm, juicy and sweet; tree a rapid grower and immense bearer.
