Numerous more or less regular tabulae divide the intrathecal space. Peritheca present on the under side of the colony, and usually strongly wrinkled. Favosites venustus (Hall)^ (Fig. 34). Astrocerium venus- tum Hall (1852. Pa/. A^. F. 2:120, pi. 34) Distinguishing characters.
