A comparatively new variety introduced by one of the most extensive growers of strawberries in Maryland, who offered a prize of $ for twelve plants of the best new seedling variety submitted to him for trial and out of over one hundred sorts entered for competition, Chesapeake was, by competent judges selected as the one posessing the most meritorious points. It is very late, of exceptional high flavor, very firm, berries large, borne on strong upright stems and a robust, healthy grower. 60 cts. per doz.; ; per 100 ; $ per 1000. Climax. Early, Perfect. A grand variety which has very quickly become popular with the most critical growers in the East. The plant is a most vigor- ous and healthy grower, enormously productive, of good sized, finely flavored perfectly formed berries, ripening extremely early. 60 cts. per doz ; $ per 100 ; $30 00 per 1000. Clyde. £arly to Mid-Season, Perfect. A strong-growing, perfect blooming, healthy plant, with light gteen foliage. Everywhere tested, it proves to be exceedingly productive of large, globular, perfectly formed, light scarlet berries of fine quality. Always inclined to overbear. Some plants have more fruit stalks than leaf stalks. A light applica- tion of nitrate of soda in early spring, before fruiting, or a top- dressing of stable manure in winter, will stimulate greater foliage growth, and so help the fruiting of this remarkable variety. There are but few strawberries that succeed as well over so wide a range of country as Clyde. No family collection can be com- plete without it. 50 cts. per doz.; $ per 100 ; $ per 1000.
