Manchester, UK 30th August 2015 The Annual Northenden Boat Race, started in 2006, goes about a mile from Simon's Bridge, Didsbury along the River Mersey to Northenden Bridge. This year there are two categories, one for canoes and kayaks, the other for dinghies. A fun event to raise money for The Christie Hospital, it has a competitive edge, with a trophy awarded to the winners of each category.
