Lines, Bouddi National Park, NSW Australia. Naturally sculptured Sydney sandstone shows a cliff with boulders all in miniture.

Waiting on a cliff edge for the sun to rise, there was an abundance of eroded sandstone in various colours, shapes and forms; so much to photograph and little time to do it all. But as the sun appeared I concentrated on my chosen subject and only discovered this patterning as I was ready to leave, almost putting my foot in it. I was intrigued by the lines in the sandstone as they ran down the minuture cliff face and along the rock platform. The whole area of rock not larger than one metre. Using the ground glass to achieve a composition, I carefully noted the focus points for near and far on the distance scale and took 10 images at various focus intervals. All the focused areas were then stitched together using a focus stacking program. Alpa 12SWA, Leaf 75s, focus stacking to achieve final image.
