From the late 1700s Amlwch Port, Anglesey, developed as the harbour for Parys Mountain copper mines. Pier & Watch House on R, 1816 &1819.
From the late 1700s Amlwch Port, Anglesey, developed as the harbour for Parys Mountain copper mines. Pier on R (1816) enabled c. 40 vessels to shelter behind wooden beams sealing the port entrance. Watch House & lighthouse added in 1819. A modern breakwater now protects the outer harbour.
