13th August 2013. Gibraltar. Tourists are caught up in the dispute between the British government and Spain and recently the Spanish authorities have started to delay traffic leaving Spain and entering Gibraltar by carrying out lengthy vehicles searches and document checks. The row started when the Spanish Government suggested that a £43 (euro 50 ) fee could be imposed on every vehicle entering or leaving the outpost through Gibraltar’s fenced border with Spain after the Spanish Government objected to work by the British territory on a concrete reef in the Mediterranean which Spain claims will destroy fishing in the area
