Loos-en-Gohelle, France. 26th Sept. 2024. HRH The Princess Royal, President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission(CWGC) with to her right Dame Menna Rawlings, British Ambassador to France and Claire Horton, director-general of the CWGC. They were attending the burial with full military honours of two unknown WWI Scottish soldiers at the official opening of the cemetery's extension, only the second such extension of a Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery in France since the end of WWII.
