Master Sgt. Sean Birdsell, Air Force’s Central Detachment 6, shows Flight Line Fest attendees a mine resistant ambush protected vehicle at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Jan. 10. Birdsell explained that MRAPs are used to protect service members from attack and have been employed in Iraq and Afghanistan. The vehicle joined several other emergency vehicles and nine aircraft in the annual event, a joint partnership between the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing and Qatar Emiri Air Force held to foster relations between Qatar and the United States.
