The ends were bluntly individual bacilU joined each other in the chains at abroad oblique angle. In this medium were also seennumerous slender somewhat lance-shaped bacilH, arrangedsingly. The average length of the small variety of thesewas three-fourths that of the diameter of a red bloodcell. The large forms were twice as long as the diameterof a red blood cell. Cultures in Beef Bouillon.—^The growth was very abun-dant. Great numbers of Oppler-Boas bacilli were seen.
