The Old Transformers
Situated on an embankment near Leadgate and overlooking the former Consett to Sunderland railway route (now a footpath and part of the C2C N7 national coast to coast cycle route) are the "Old Tranformers" by David Kemp (1990) The artworks represent an Ironmaster and a Coal Miner and commemorate the major industries of the area in the 19th and 20th centuries.
