I never see it without ex- periencing a sense of being the better for the sight. It is a small, perfectly plain garden. There is a square grass plot on the right and one on the left off a path that leads from the top of a flight of steps to the house. The center of each plot is filled by a flower bed. Along the front of the vine-covered house is another flower bed. That is all; yet the effect is so fresh and pretty, an effect that is heightened by the city surroundings, that I often re- call it with pleasure. Particu
