Jean-Marie Collot d'Herbois (1749-1796). French actor, dramatist and revolutionary. Member of the Paris Commune during the insurrection of 10 August 1792, and deputy for Paris in the National Convention. He took part in the Committee of Public Safety during the Reign of Terror.
