The zygapophyseal processes are set at about 40° to the horizontal plane in the first group of caudals; this angle decreases to about 30° in the second group. The transverse axis of the articular facets increases from about 45° relative to the horizontal plane at the sacrocaudal junction to almost 90° after the first six or seven caudals. All the caudal vertebrae preserved had chevrons. The first six chevrons are expanded proximally, having relatively large articular contacts with the centra;.
