He made the trip from Cal-laway County to Kentucky back andforth several times to attend theTransylvania University, where hestudied under the famous Dr. Dud-le3r, and from which institution hegraduated in 1836. He immediate-ly returned to Missouri, locating inPortland, later removing to Boon-ville. In 1850 he went to California, re-turning later to Cooper County. Hewas one of the founders of the oldStephens Bank of Boonville, nowcalled the Central National 1867 he moved to Kirkwood, Mo.,remaining there until 1877. Whilein Kirkwood he was interested in anumber of business ventures. In1899 he moved to Tipton, Mo.,where he died April 7, 1900, havingpracticed medicine in Missouri forfort}^ years. HIBAM E. SILVEESTONE. Hiram E. Silverstone is one ofthe young physicians and surgeonsof St. Louis who has alreadv won for himself the praise of his co-practitioners.
