George Dacres Patterson & his mother, Eleanor Dacres Patterson, 1815. George Dacres Patterson (1813-1847) was the only child of Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Patterson of the 28th Regt. of Foot, and Eleanor Philippa Dacres. He was born seven months after his father was killed in action at the Battle of Vittoria. After a miniature by Andrew Plimer (1763-1837).
