American soldiers attending a church service in the Casino at Aix-les-Bains, France. Before the war, the hall was a famous card room where the popular game Baccharas was played. The pulpit was transformed into a checking counter. This photograph was taken on August 29, 1918, by Lt. Duthawi and the image was released by the censor on November 22, 1918.
